Sweet Surrender

There is a common misunderstanding about surrender. Most people think surrender is a passive thing, or it is losing control or giving up their free will or authority. This is not true. Surrender is not passive, it is not giving away something. Surrender is a conscious, willful act, similar to handing over your car to the workshop so they can make your car roadworthy again.

Surrender is when you willfully, knowingly, and consciously outsource some part of your life to an expert so it could either be restored to its original value or upgraded to something better. When you ‘surrender’ or handover your car to a workshop you get it back. The workshop doesn’t keep it. They have no interest in keeping your car. Similarly, when you surrender your soul to the divine, it gets cleaned, repaired, recharged, and upgraded, and given back to you. Divine has no interest in taking back your free will or your soul. The divine wants you to fully recognize, own, exercise, and enjoy your free will. Why would divine even want to take your soul or free will back? Divine is just there to help repair and upgrade your free will when needed. Your free will is your essence, it is who you are, it is the very purpose of your existence, and it is permanent. It is in the interest of the Universe that you realize the full potential of your free will and keep exercising it. Once you surrender, you always get your free will back much stronger, healthier, and clearer than ever before,. It is returned to you automatically when the work is done without a delay of a single split second.

Surrender is a logical, practical, and necessary step in order for any meaningful repair work to be started. Imagine if you do not hand over your car to the workshop, how could they work on it to fix it? When you hand over your car, the intention of the workshop is to fix the car and put it back on the road as soon as possible. Similarly, if you want your soul to be repaired, it needs to be surrendered. It needs to be surrendered to someone who can fix it. Once you surrender your soul, or part of it, and the work is complete, you get your soul back.

During the whole duration of your surrender, you continue to maintain 100% free will to withdraw the stuff you have surrendered anytime even in the middle of the repair work. Just like you could call the workshop, ask them to stop the work, and go take your car back. The same is true with surrendering your soul. You can always withdraw your surrender, and then re-surrender when you feel ready again. Hence, surrender or no surrender, you always maintain 100% free will on your soul.

Once you verify that the expert really possesses the necessary experience and expertise for the required work, surrender becomes a really smart thing to do. An expert can fix your stuff much more efficiently and effectively than you could ever do it by yourself. In short, there is nothing for you to lose in surrender. Only to gain.
