IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

The Story of Love

It was the afternoon of May 26, 2022. I was giving a microcurrent treatment to the General Manager of my fitness school. Concerned about the old age and deteriorating health of her dog “The Professor” – a dark Weimaraner who just celebrated his 18th birthday – Della suddenly asked if I could use Reiki to communicate with him to know his intention.

I was genuinely surprised with what she said. Though I had been teaching Reiki for a few years, and Professor was one of my microcurrent clients, the idea of using Reiki to ask a dog to share his intention about his life never crossed my mind. I had never thought I would be able to communicate with animals even in my wildest dreams.

I told Della I could give Reiki to Professor but I cannot promise if I would receive any communication because this is totally out of my control. She said she'll bring Professor for Reiki in a few days.

After finishing the session, I went from the treatment room to our admin office for something and saw Professor sitting there in a stroller. We just shared a very quick glance. I came back to the room and started putting client files away before heading home. There was no one else in the room.

I was standing by the cotton flower blooms. Suddenly, I began receiving some words, then more words, which quickly turned into phrases and became complete sentences. One after the other, the sentences kept coming and within a few minutes I had received a whole paragraph.

The message was clear. He wanted to go.

As an ex-Big 4 auditor, I am trained to exercise professional skepticism with the mantra "Trust, but verify!". This was the most serious project of my career. I began asking myself should I trust what I had just received, where is the evidence, what if the message was not from him? The message came with such a definite clarity and tremendous speed, it was almost impossible to dismiss it. In that moment, I prayed in my heart, if this message is actually from Professor I should be given three numbers as a sign. I then left the clinic without saying anything to anyone.

On my way home I checked my phone. Della had emailed me a few minutes ago. For some reason she chose to send that email only to me and to no one else in the office. Her email read that she just changed the password of the computer and new password is made up of Professor's name and three numbers! The "sufficient relevant appropriate third party direct corroborative evidence" had arrived. This auditor was convinced.

Still on my way, I called Reiki, thanked Professor for communicating his intention, and asked him if he would like to share his life wisdom with us. He sent an immediate response – another clear, complete and meaningful sentence. Everything happened within an hour of Della 'randomly' asking me if I could communicate with her son. I have a habit of taking notes, and noted his exact words with the date and time on my phone.

When I got home, I emailed Della the messages that I received along with the whole story. Three days later Della and Andre took Professor to a loving and caring vet for performing the procedure along with his little sister Soleil. Their hearts now at peace knowing with certainty this was what their son wanted.

After Professor passed away, I started receiving 'random' ideas to develop an animal Reiki course that should be easy and fun. I collaborated with my Reiki student Birdeen and things started happening very quickly. A rudimentary manual was put together. I was also given a new Reiki symbol together with the guidance on how to teach the new course.

I selected some of my Reiki students and asked them if they wanted to attend a trial class. They readily agreed and on August 31, 2022 I taught the first trial animal Reiki class based on the new Reiki energy Circle of Life. The word spread and more students started coming to learn from as far as Squamish, Nanaimo and Ontario. I didn't even have a proper manual to give to the students! I told them, the energy is new and I'm still writing the manual, I'll give it to you when it's published!

In October 2022, I took a 12-day vacation and camped at North Vancouver City Library to work on the manual. Animal experts, books, information, articles, messages, videos, links and images started showing up just at the right time. My writer friend Rob gave the idea to present the knowledge in a way that non-Reiki animal lovers could also benefit.

The manuscript grew from just a few pages to over 33,000 words. All of this happened within five months of receiving the first message from Professor without any planning whatsoever. The ways of the Universe are indeed mysterious. This is not my light, I feel I am just holding a lamp.

This phoenix of a book has literally risen from the ashes of Professor. Professor's ashes now rest at Della and Andre’s home in Vancouver along with the ashes of their two other dogs, Jethro and Elly May, who crossed the rainbow bridge many years ago. When the time comes, the family's ashes will be combined and spread into the Universe as the ultimate expression of love.
