How to Turn Our Dreams into Reality?
So how can we turn our dreams into reality?
Most of us know about the power of goals when trying to achieve something. Also, most of us are getting familiar with SMART goals - goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound. SMART goals are a truly powerful tool for achieving anything, however, most people who successfully set their SMART goals still are never able to achieve them.
These days a lot of non-sense has come into circulation about manifesting -from affirmations to just feeling good, and from chanting to doing nothing. Without discrediting someone’s favorite method, here’s what I believe is the most logical, practical, spiritual, understandable and universal method:
Energy spent on a goal equals results achieved.
You cannot fool or cheat life. If you want something, you have to spend your energy in the form of time, opportunity cost, effort and money, to achieve it. It’s a fair exchange. Goals are not achieved (aka dreams are not turned into reality, manifestation does not happen) simply by wishing, planning, thinking, dreaming and hoping. A SMART goal can only be achieved through SMART action. This may be a new concept for some of you. I just received it this evening after a series of meditations.
A SMART goal can only be achieved through SMART action.
SMART goals must be matched with SMART action - an action that is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound. If action is not specific, it will not contribute to the achievement of the goal no matter how much energy you spend on it. In fact, taking action which is not aligned with your goal will take you further away from your goal. It is like you want to eat apples, but you are watering the mango tree every day. You want to go to London, but you keep buying tickets to New York. For most of us, this misalignment happens subconsciously. To fix this, what is needed is an honest “energy audit” - to really understand where actually are you spending your life energy. This energy audit is necessary to be conducted periodically for ensuring your energy is continued to be spent on the right targets chosen by you.
If you are not able to turn your dreams into a reality it means you are saying something else and doing something else. You are wishing for something else and spending life energy on something else. You want to go somewhere else but going somewhere else. Try matching your efforts with your goals and see how quickly you achieve results. This applies to all areas of life, from making money to finding a partner to building muscles and getting fit.
So if you wish to turn your dreams into a reality, have SMART goals and take SMART action. Rest is just spiritual opium.
